Tora, Tora, Tora

Jan and I were out the door way too early this morning, about 7:15, for an early doctor’s appointment.  And as usual, it was just hurry up and wait.

Then later we had lunch once again at Texas Huddle Grill.  As usual, my go-to was the PB&J Bacon Cheeseburger, with Grape, of course.

Jan, however, tried something new, with the Hamburger Garden Salad.

Just as good as usual.

Then I stopped by the office to check on a couple of problems before we headed over to Sam’s for a few items, and then gas.

I was very unpleasantly surprised about the BIG jump in the price of gas since last week. When I filled up last Friday, it was $2.42 per gallon. But today, six days later, it was now $2.65.

Of course, on November 1st, 2020, it was $1.42 a gallon.

Yikes!

Since we left too early for coffee this morning, we just had to stop off at Cowboy Coffee for Pumpkin Spice Lattes, cold blended, of course.

Looks like the weather should be perfect for Saturday’s Wings on Houston Airshow, 85° with high clouds.

The big draws this year are the USAF Thunderbirds,

and the CAF Snowbirds.

And this year the big ending is once again Tora, Tora, Tora, a reenactment of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Then the rest of the month of October is just as busy, with 2 get-togethers with RV and Opry friends,  and then the Alvin Opry itself. But the big finale of the month is Jan’s Birthday on the 25th, and to make it really special, it’s a repeat of the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit that we saw in Paris in May 2019.

Looking to both the Van Gogh thing, and once again being Jan’s Boy Toy and her my Cougar.
