Mo’ Pho . . .

I mentioned before that since we didn’t get to see them at Christmas, we were trying to schedule a family get-together date with Chris, Linda, Piper, and Derek sometime this month, and now we have a firm date. We’ll head up to Kingsland on Friday, January 14th and come home on Sunday, the 16th.

Really looking forward to it.

Unlike most Tuesdays, when we have a lot of errands to run, I guess due to the holidays, we didn’t have much else to do but lunch and a couple of quick stops, And the lunch stop was the Pho Barr up in Webster once again.

After starting off with an order of their Grilled Pork Spring Rolls,

Jan got the Vermicelli Bowl with the Grilled Chicken.

And as I have the last couple of visits, I got the Pho Ga, which is a big bowl of Pho with Chicken.

A lot of chicken. And as usual, really delicious.

We also asked about when their new location down in our area is supposed to open, and were told “sometime in the next few months”. Since they’ve already got the sign up on the front of the building, I’m hoping it will be sooner.

I mean it’s a new Pho restaurant going into the location of an old Pho restaurant. In this case it was the late-lamented Pho 20, a favorite of ours that didn’t survive the CoVid shutdown.

Then coming back down to our area, Jan made a quick HEB visit while I dropped off an Amazon return at the UPS store next door. Then after a quick gas stop we were home about by about 3:45.

A very nice day.

Thought For The Day:

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored they go out for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
