Bad Haircut and The Baby’s Room
Jan left about 10 am to get her haircut and came back mad as a wet cat. Despite telling the stylist that she just wanted a trim, she said the lady just kept cutting and cutting. By the time Jan realized what was happening, it was too late.
And it made Jan even madder, at herself this time, that she still tipped the stylist. She just couldn’t stop her self.
I had coffee ready when Jan got back, and then just sat back and let her vent. After 43 years I’ve learned it’s safer that way. 😉
About noon Jan heated up the leftover pizza from Mancino’s the other night. Still excellent. They have a great crust.
About 2 pm I headed out to work. My new job for the next two weeks is going around hitting up restaurants and shops for gift certificates and discount coupons to give away as door prizes at the Eastern Gypsy Journal Rally that starts in two weeks.
The first day was pretty good and I got a good response from the stores.
At 4:30 Nick and Terry and Jan and I headed out for the Bob Evans restaurant right down the road for a great meal. Nick and I had their Memphis Rubbed Chicken Breast, while Terry had a Chicken Salad Wrap and Jan had a Chicken Pot Pie. We all agreed it was really good.
After supper we went next door to Menard’s, a chain found mostly here in the midwest that’s a combination of Home Depot with a little WalMart thrown it. It’s a fun store just to walk around in.
We got some pictures today from our daughter Brandi that show how good little Landon’s room is coming along.
Lowell has done a fantastic job!
He put down the flooring, added the wainscoting, and painted the room. Now they just have to finish the decorating the room with the turtle theme that they plan to use.
We really look forward to seeing the room when we get there in 3 weeks.
Tomorrow we’re tagging along with Nick and Terry up into Michigan to take the latest issue of the Gypsy Journal Newsletter to the printer.
More tomorrow…
