Horse Stables and Sea Legs . . .
This morning started out with a move from our site at the horse stables, to first dump our tanks and then park in the staging area for about two hours.
Then about noon once the Good Sam rally had cleared out, we moved our coach over to a site near the main hall where we’ll be parked until the Gypsy Journal Rally ends on Friday.
At 1 pm the fun began when we started parking the sea of RV’s that were waiting out in the main parking lot.
As in past years, it started off slow as the parking crew got their sea legs back, and then ended up with us parking those 100+ rigs in about 3 hours. And then tomorrow morning, starting at 8 am, we’ll do it all over again, just not so many rigs as today.
At 3:30 the rally itself kicks off with the Welcome get-together in the main hall. And then at 7 we’ll have the first of our nightly door prize giveaways.
Finally at about 6, Nick and Terry, Jan and I, and our friend’s Al and Adrienne, headed down to the local IHOP for dinner where Nick got his second wind and regaled us with stories of his infamous past, and in some cases, his present.
Because of our busy schedule, my blog posts probably won’t be quite as long as usual.
