Celina Rally 2
First off, Brandi sent over this video of Landon playing the drum set his cousin Piper gave him for his birthday a week or so ago.
The mystery is, where did he learn to sit down and play the drums like that. Brandi says no one showed him how. He just sits down, puts his foot on the bass drum pedal and wails away.
The next Buddy Rich! (I think that dates me.)

We started this morning’s rally agenda with coffee and doughnuts about 8:30, and then Jan and I attended Ron and Brenda Spiedel’s seminar on remodeling your RV. Jan and I got a lot of good ideas for possible upgrades to our rig.
Then at 10:30 I gave my first seminar on Computer Q & A. At the other computer-related seminars I’ve given in the past, I’ve noticed that everyone had a lot of general computer questions, so I decided to have a seminar of nothing but questions from the audience, and hopefully answers from me.
As it turned out we had a little over 20 people and it seemed to go well.
After lunch I ran some errands and then Jan and I napped until a little before 4pm when we headed down for a couple of more seminars. Just as we were getting in the car, Nick called and asked what I was doing. I told him I was going to check out the ‘Electrical Troubleshooting with a Multimeter’ seminar.
He said “Good. Bring a multimeter with you. The instructor didn’t show up so you’re teaching the class.”
Gulp!
So I grabbed a couple of meters and a few other things and off I went. As it turned out, it went pretty well and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Next time a little more warning, Nick.
A little after 5 Nick and Terry, and Jan and I headed into Celina to have supper at C-Town Wings, a really good restaurant in the downtown area. Tonight they had All You Can Eat Boneless Wings and Fries. Our kind of place. Well, Nick and me, anyway.
Then at 7pm things got rolling again with more door prizes, and wrapped up with a performance by “One More Time”, a husband and wife duo that has performed at Nick’s rallies several times and always do a great job.
They’re amazingly versatile, and both have great voices. We heard everything from Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra,
to Sonny and Cher.
We certainly look forward to hearing them again sometime.
Tomorrow I’m giving another seminar on Things Every RV’er Needs. Hopefully it goes as well as today’s did.

Celina Rally 1 . . .
Jan and I started out the day by having breakfast again at The Fountain, our favorite local breakfast place. Good food and nice people.
Getting back to the rally, I dropped Jan off to work the registration table while I hit the road to Lima, OH. I wanted to pick up a new laptop at the local Sam’s Club while Miss Terry needed some new ink cartridges for her Canon printer
After getting the laptop, I checked the nearby Wal-Mart for the Canon cartridges with no luck, so it was off across town to the Office Depot where I found what I was looking for and then heading home.
On the way I stopped at an nice little RV park along the way to drop off some copies of the Gypsy Journal at the office.
Then it was back to the rally for the afternoon.
Getting back to the rig, Brandi had sent this pic of Landon kicking back and watching Cailou (his favorite show) on TV.

The rally officially kicked off at 4pm with the Welcome and the Vendor Introductions. And as usual Nick had everyone laughing in the first 5 minutes.
A little later Nick and Terry, and Jan and I, headed over to Bob Evans for a quick supper before being back by 7 for the first round of door prizes.
We had a nice crowd and everyone had a good time as the prizes were given out. Jan and I won a DQ Blizzard and a free specialty coffee.
Tomorrow kicks off the first day of seminars. I’m giving one at 10:30 on Computer Q & A, and then later I’ll try to catch a couple of others I’m interested in.
