Short Shrift Blog Today . . .

Another long, busy, fun day, today.

Jan and I headed over to Debbie’s around noon to spend the afternoon, while after lunch, I came back to the rig to get some work done.

Jan and Debbie spent the afternoon cutting out some quilt patterns. Hopefully they’ll have a chance to finish up before we leave here on Thursday.

Coming back to the rig, I stopped off at a NAPA Auto Parts store to check on Disc Brake Pads for our truck. I’ve started hearing a tiny bit of scraping when braking and wanted to check out their pad selection. I’m probably going to go with ceramic pads this time and I wanted to get some prices, although I’ll probably wait until we’re in Athens later this week to do the job. It really doesn’t take that long. Just jack the front end up, pull the wheel, push in the brake pistons with a ‘C’ clamp, pull the caliper, replace the pads, and reassemble.

Getting back to Debbie’s about 4:30 we all headed over to Laura and Jason’s house down in Salem for dinner. This will be our last chance to see everyone before we leave.

After a great time, Jan and I finally got home a little after 9, and I think Jan fell asleep on the sofa pretty much immediately. Past her bedtime.

Tomorrow we’re once again meeting everyone at Denny’s for breakfast at 9am, then Jan and Debbie will get back on the quilting.
