Some Gave All . . .
Jan and I want to give a big Thank You to all our Veterans today, and especially my good friend Nick Russell.
During WWII both my parents were in the military, my father was in the Navy, and my mother was a Captain in the Army Nurse Corp. She was Chief of Nursing at West Point when she and her nurses were detailed to the Pacific Theater to support the invasion of the Japanese mainland. They were on the train to New Orleans when the first atomic bomb was dropped, and they were turned around.
Two of my uncles, as well asJan’s father, all landed at Normandy on D-Day. Thankfully they all came home safely.
