A Silent Scream . . .
I received several emails from friends/blog readers wondering if Jan and I were worried since our friend’s Debi and Ed Hurlburt were diagnosed with CoVid yesterday, especially since we had just had lunch with them two weeks ago today.
Worried, No. But cautious, Yes.
As I’ve mentioned before Jan and I have been taking Quercetin and Zinc since May of 2020. For those who don’t know, Quercetin is a OTC analogue of the infamous HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine), and both Quercetin and HCQ, as well as the almost equally infamous Ivermectin, are Zinc ionophores.
And a Zinc ionophore is a molecule that facilitates the transfer of Zinc ions through the cell walls of viruses. And of course Zine is already known as a potent killer of cold viruses. Which is why there are a number of Zinc-based cold remedies like Zicam and Cold-Eeze that are used to shorten colds.
And of course, most colds are caused by coronaviruses, ones like 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1.
Which circles us back around to why Quercetin, HCQ, and Ivermectin are useful in preventing/treating CoVid-19.
And in that vein, just in case, Jan and I have doubled up on our Quercetin and Zinc starting yesterday, and will continue that for the next week or so.
Which is also what we did this past Christmas when Jan and I visited my client’s home to drop off a gift. We got a big hug from his wife, and a big pan of her hot-from-the-oven homemade cinnamon rolls. Then after Christmas, she came by the office and I got another big hug when I thanked her for the rolls.
Then 5 days later, she was diagnosed with WuFlu, along with a bunch of her fellow churchgoers. So then too, Jan and I doubled up on our Quercetin and Zinc. And nary a sniffle.
Furthermore, in some good news, our friend Ed Hurlburt posted this afternoon that he and Debi had received the monoclonal antibody infusion. He said it took about 2 hours and he already felt better.
Jan and I hope they both continue to get better.
The monoclonal antibody treatment, also known as the Regeneron treatment is the same one President Trump credited with his rapid recovery from CoVid last October, and more recently, Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Lunch today was at the Snooze up in Webster, a nice change since we haven’t been in a while.
Jan got her usual Bravocado Toast, but instead of the hard scrambled eggs she ordered, they gave her kind of an omelet mixture, which she was not really happy about since some of the yolk wasn’t done as well as she liked.
I usually just get the Classic 3 Egg Breakfast with Bacon and Fruit, but I wanted something different, and then this caught my eye, the Habanero Pork Belly Benny, with this description.
Seared, cider-braised, habanero pork belly on top of a grilled English muffin with bacon espresso jam and poached eggs. topped with cream cheese hollandaise and cranberry relish.
And it was really, really good. Spicy, creamy, and sweet.
Certainly Have-Again good.
Then it was on over to Costco to stock up on some things, finishing up at HEB, and then Cowboy Coffee on the way home.
A very nice day.
Thought For The Day:
Remember, a yawn is just a silent scream for coffee.
